Coloween 2026 · Bounce Empire

The Coloween Costume Contest

The most competitive costume floor in Colorado. One winner takes the cash.

How It Works

01

Enter On Arrival

There are two ways in. Costume scouts work the floor all night and flag standout looks on the spot — if they tap you, you're in the running. Or put yourself in it: scan the QR code at entry for instant self-entry. No sign-up sheet, no line. If your costume is doing the work, you'll get noticed.

02

Make The Midnight Stage

Late in the night, finalists get called up to the main stage. This is the moment the whole room turns to watch. If you made the cut, be near the stage and ready — you have to be present for judging to compete. Leave early and you leave the cash on the table.

03

Crowd + Judges Pick

The winner is decided by a mix of crowd energy and a judging panel scoring three things: creativity, craft, and performance. It's not just the best-looking costume — it's the one that owns the stage. One winner walks away with $1,000 cash.

What Wins

Nineteen years of costume floors tell the same story. Here’s what actually takes the crown.

Full builds beat bought fits

The costumes that take the crown are almost always built, not bought. Hand-made armor, sculpted props, LED wiring, custom paint — the effort reads instantly on stage. A rack costume can look great, but it rarely beats something nobody has ever seen before.

Group concepts get bonus love

A coordinated group with one strong concept lands harder than any single look. Past floors have been won by tight crews running a shared theme — the scouts and the crowd eat it up. Bring your people, pick one idea, and commit together.

Mobility matters

This is a six-hour party across 50,000 square feet of inflatables, not a photo booth. You have to dance in it, move in it, and survive the night in it. The best costumes look incredible and still let you own the floor. If you can't move, you can't perform — and performance is a third of the score.
